Victory

Since the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force. Matthew 11:12(NKJV).

A scripture I have been meditating on recently and has been such a blessing.  I hope it blesses you too.  Let me say what led me to the scripture was in response to praying for a friend. And it became clear that the lack of victory in some areas of his life were because of lack violence in his life.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart – psalms 37:4  further He says in  Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Which is true but it’s also true that nothing comes on a silver platter – meaning nothing especially those that are of value come easy. We need to work hard and sometimes if not always fight for the blessing(heart’s desire)that we want. Pastor, Priscilla Shirer, preached and said, “God allows the violence.” and I concur. I believe He allows this violence or this attitude of fighting for blessings so that we can know the value of the blessing hence we don’t take it for granted and protect them so that they are not attacked or stolen from us by the devil and the wicked.

Who or what suffers  violence? According to the scriptures the kingdom of God does and everything about it.

Who is in the kingdom of God? Me and you who are God’s children through His son Jesus Christ.

Now, if we are in the kingdom of God and we do that pertains the kingdom hence spreading it’s power across and around, then we suffer this violence. Peace, joys, breakthrough, love, unity, togetherness always suffer violence so that they are not able to stand or hold together and do the works they are purposed to do. We suffer violence so that we will fail in doing the works of the Father. So that we live miserable lives, give up, quit even want to die without achieving our purposes or living out life in full as we ought to.

People who suffered violence in the Bible:

  1. Mary and Joseph – when Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under – Matthew 2:16. The devil introduced violence to the family of Jesus through Herod but luckily they fled to Egypt and stayed there until the King died.
  2. David the King suffered violence through Saul. 1 Samuel chapter 18,19,20 speaks of David’s success in battles and  victories and how and Saul became jealous and wanted to kill David.
  3.  Joseph suffered violence through his brothers who because of jealousy wanted to kill him but instead sold him as a slave to merchants.  Genesis 37:18-28
  4. Uriah – Bathsheba’s husband was murdered in battle however it was a planned murder because David wanted his blessing(Bathsheba) and so the devil used David to bring violence into his life which actually finished him.

Those are few people who suffered violence from the devil. But all in all they became victorious because God has the final say.

Violence is real and is expected but we are assured of victory. So what next…prepare for the to be victorious. Victory does not come by accident.

1). Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights in preparation for battle ahead. Jesus heart’s desire was to win our souls from the kingdom of darkness to that of his Father. He knew the battle will not be easy so he fasted to start His mission towards victory.

2). Esther fasted for 3 days to be able to speak to the King and defend the Jews so that Hanan does not success in his plans to kill Mordecai and the jews. Esther 4:15

3). Esther prepared to be victorious among the ladies who were to be chosen to be the king’s bride. It was not by chance but she actually prepared for victory and God favoured her.

Grace Mwai a gospel artiste in Kenya sings in her song titled Kirathimo,”I want a blessing from you Lord that will change my life.” Blessings change our lives. Think about it;

  • Employment – eliminates poverty and allow the economy of a country to grow.
  • Friendships – that no man in an island is true because alone we cannot handles the challenges of life for they can easily weigh us down. Even in the joys of life we need people to share our ideas, success and happiness with.
  • Blessing change our status from single to getting a partner whom married we can share ideas with grow…God said man is the head and woman is a helper…that a blessing right there. Someone who we can confide in, share ideas and grow and have children.
  • Education is another blessing that will help us blend in, open doors for us through careers and we move from dependent to independent
  • Friends – friends are a blessing.  Some connect us with jobs others support us through counsel and prayers. I have a friend whom I value because she helped me grow in ministry. She somehow understood my challenges in ministry, she did not judge me but, took me in, mentored me, prayed for me, pushed me to challenge myself and grow in ministry,” I remember she used to say, Grace you have potential.” And now I am not scared to stand and minister through praise because a long the way I discovered that I had the potential to carry out ministry through praise and I thank God for bringing someone along to way to help me through and now I minister and people get blessed. Glory to Jesus!

Blessings change our lives like Grace Mwai says in her song, ‘Kirathimo.’ and because they do that is why they meet such violence. She, further says that, we need to fight for our blessings and hold on to them because of the mere fact that they will change our lives for the better and who doesn’t want that? I know I want friendship that grow me and I appreciate good health among many others.

What blessings do you have? Can you count them? Are you grateful for them? Are there blessing you wish they can your way in future?  And what are you doing about it? What are you doing to achieve your blessings? Are you positioned for them?

Blessings; peace, joy, success, stability are fought ruthlessly and our ignorance does not calm the storms.

What Matthew 11:12  does is to keep us alert and prepared because are coming of harvest and if we are not ready then we risk losing it all in the battle but God is good and merciful that we get second, third and fourth chance but what’s the point of wasting time moving round in circles if you can walk into your blessing .

Be prepared for your blessing.

If a blessing comes to change our lives then it means we need to be prepared for it so that it is not attacked to the point of death.

Jesus taught us to be prepared. He fasted for 40 days and nights in preparation for the battle ahead that may arise against our blessings. His mission and goal was to win our souls back from the devil to the Father. Now, that was not going to be easy and if you noticed the challenged Jesus faced to the point of death you will discover it was not easy and so Jesus came prepared. I believe the fast graced him for the ministry ahead. It allowed the Spirit in Him to be strong and the flesh to be weak. This is what fasting does to us humans, it allows the Spirit of God to be strong in us while the power of the flesh becomes weak. Alleluia!  Jesus was able to attain victory over His blessings and one way is that He came prepared. In the bible it is written that He would often go to lonely places to pray and I think it was for the mission ahead.

Esther was prepared to be queen. She didn’t go to a losing battle, she actually prepared to win. She was prepared to be presented before the King. She didn’t just appear and magically expect her beauty to help her she, among other ladies had to prepare for 3 months before meeting the King. Her level of preparedness plus favour from God is what helped her stand out from the rest and become queen {Esther 2:5-18}.

The devil will violently attack us whether we are ignorant or knowledgeable, naive or experienced. He will do it to to prevent the kingdom of God from moving forth. You see when we are successful in achieving our hearts desires which are according to God’s will then the kingdom of God spreads and that the devil doesn’t like. He doesn’t like us to be happy, he doesn’t like us to be at peace and he doesn’t like our success at all.

I consider us blessed to know this scripture – Matthew 11:12. It gives me strength to know that I am not the only one under the sun who meets hardships for we all do and if God allows a violence then he has provision for it. We are graced for this life. We are graced to do his will. We are graced to live out our purposes unto his glory. We are graced to be victorious. Harreruuyaaah!

In conclusion

1). Be prepared and be alert. I think it’s the worse thing to go about life and we seem not prepared for blessings/ opportunities. It’s sad, it does happened, it has happened to me and I hope this article has changed that.

2). Be focused – Lack of focus in life is enough for devil to attack a blessing. The devil thrives in confusion and absent mindedness. If we are focused towards success in a particular area chances are we will get it – what the mind conceives it achieves👍

3). Be self aware – Awareness of your lives and type of battles ahead of us helps us to understand the level of preparedness or violence we need to put up.Take for  example. Two people who want to scale the ladder of education. Both want to achieve a doctorate in their field of choice(heart’s desire). One person named Lucy comes from a family where the highest level is form four. another named Carol the least is a grandaunt. Lucy’s battle will be harder that Carol’s. Lucy will have to deal  with lack of motivation and mentors from within the family because they might not see the essence of climbing up the ladder of academics.  In some families they suffer addictions to alcohol and drugs. Someone from such a family will meet a tough battle in trying to get out of such an addiction. The violence towards freedom from addictions will be high because you will be alone in this fight so you risk emotional hurt, being abandoned in the fight towards freedom because the innermost circle(family) is not helping instead it’s like you are being pulled down – case in point Joseph attacked by his brothers.

Awareness of your life, your goals and aspirations and what is required to get them can enable one to know what kind of battle is ahead. But not matter what, we give God glory because He already won the battle on the cross and we are now victorious. This means we the ability to fight through Jesus and emerge victorious no matter what.

Victory is ours through Jesus Christ.

Joshua was told be strong and courageous for I am with you. And that every where you step I shall give to you. Joshua was skilled, true. But he became victorious because God made him so. Sarah had all it took to be someone’s wife but it took the hand of God for her to be married to Tobias. Hannah had all she need to be a mother, she was of good health, had a husband but it took the hand of God to bear children. We could have all it takes to be successful but it takes hand of God to make us victorious.

So let’s be humble and walk with God, let’s invite him in all our plans for His wisdom, direction, and even when it gets tough we are assured of victory{John 16:33}.

“I have told you these things, that you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The Father

{John 14:9} Jesus answered, “For a long time I have been with you all; yet you do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. Why, then, do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.

Who is the Father? The Creator, Adonai, Elshaddai, the Spirit, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. There are many definitions to the Father. But I am loving this particular one….”whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”

The Father is God. The Father sent His son Jesus Christ on earth that we could meet Him – He allowed us to meet Him through Jesus Christ! How awesome!😀😀 How wonderful!

It’s so sad that this beautiful answer is always missed – That the Father is the Son – they are one!

Let’s look at Jesus while on earth to give us a few answers about the Father.

1). He is Compassionate

{Matthew 14:15-16}

As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away , so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “ They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

2). He is full of mercy
{John 8:1-11}

4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”

9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”
“No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

3). He has power over sin and He forgives sin and sets us free from it. 😀

{Luke 5:20-21}

When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

4). He is a friend

{John 11:1-44}

A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha.

This is the Mary who later poured the expensive perfume on the Lord’s feet and wiped them with her hair.[a] Her brother, Lazarus, was sick. So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.”

5) He has power over demons

{Mark 5:6-8;18-20}

When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!……..18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b] how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

6). He is very understanding hence he doesn’t judge as man does.
He knows our pain, our anguish, our tears, our struggles and guess what he understands it’s all! Our past – he knows. Our mistakes – he sees, knows and he still chooses to love and lead us towards the path of righteousness and restoration if we corporate with him like Zaccheaus the tax collector did.

{Luke 19:5-10}

When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

Who is God the Father? The answer lies in who is Jesus Christ. Have you met Jesus? If so, the you have met the Father.

Christ thy kingdom come…

Light

There is a light at the end of every tunnel….a statement that is currently helping me a lot. This tunnel is not the artificial tunnel built by engineers – nope. These are tunnels we find ourselves in because of one reason or the other.

There are tunnels called rejection
There are tunnels called poverty
There are tunnels called sickness
There are tunnels called witchcraft
There are tunnels called addictions
There are tunnels called curses
There are tunnels called  depression

Tunnels can be many and they are different, but I thank the Lord Jesus because no matter how long, dark or cold that tunnel is; there is always light at the end of each tunnel. This is not the sun’s light or KPLC light. It is a light that doesn’t fade away, a light that is bright yet cool, peaceful, powerful, warm and welcoming. This light is called Jesus Christ. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A light that came to the world to save us from darkness that wanted to finish us.

Isaiah 61:1

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners;

A light that is sometimes misunderstood. When it came to the world it was judged, rejected, hated and was to be shut down completely. But what the world didn’t know is that this light cannot be shut, this light cannot be destroyed. It came to stay 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This light proved to us that it is not like other lights(gods)that soon disappear, worse yet enslave us and for the rest of our lives if we are not careful. This light is special. It is strong. It’s the real deal. It cannot be polluted. It cannot be corrupted. It is for everyone. The rich and the poor. The men and women. It is for everyone and has come to shine to everyone – revealing truth along the way, saving and setting captive free and it is here to stay!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It has come to reveal truth – “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32.

It has come to light our paths and has come to save and set us free – Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

John 8:36 –  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

I pray we meet this light called Jesus Christ in our tunnels or dungeons. For when we do: We meet freedom. We meet truth. We meet joy. We meet strength. We meet peace that surpasses human understanding. We meet all we ever needed and so much more.😀 Amen

Christ thy kingdom come

God bless you

Jesus loves you

From this statement does life begin.

From this statement do we get the strength to become who we are and called to be.

From this statement are we able to conquer and become victorious.

From this statement do we find joy.

From this statement do we find peace – peace that surpasses human understanding.

From this statement do we find purpose.

From this statement do we find the reason to be alive😃😃👏🏼👏🏼

From this statement do we find the reason, strength and energy to love ourselves.

From this statement stems life, hope, breathe and power to become.

Freedom and victory are found in this statement.

Do you know this statement? Have you ever heard 👂of it? Seen 👀 it? Read 📖about it? If you have, then you should be free from fear, lust, lies, name it; you should be free from bondage.

👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
A bondage that makes us want to give up.

We should be free from the bondage of fear.

We should be free from a bondage called sin.

We should be free from a bondage called lies and manipulation.

We should be free from bondage called addiction.

We should be free. Love came to save and set us free from hell on earth. Love died on the cross, shed blood so that we could be free.

Why are we not free then? Why do we sometimes want to give up? To quit? Why is discouragement taking over us?

Maybe because we don’t know this statement and if we did, maybe we just don’t believe it. Some think it’s a lie, it’s a fuss, a feel good motivational statement. Well, it’s not. It’s not a lie, it’s not a fuss and it’s not a by the way feel good, motivational statement. It’s the truth and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall set us free. {John 8:32}Alleluia🙌

Jesus loves you and me – a truth and a fact that is well explained on the cross and in His word.

1 John 4:10 – This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven.

Don’t allow a lie to manipulate you into a life less than what was passed to you on the cross.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You are a conquer in Jesus name and through His powerful blood.

You have every reason to be alive, happy and peaceful because you deserve it and Jesus who is love, power & might conquered that it could be so. Halleluiyah👏👏👏

You are powerful, you are peaceful, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, you are alive and it’s awesome to be alive.

Jesus fought for my life and he fought for your life.

He did it out of love. He did it intentionally. Why? So that we may enjoy this gift called life that He gave us.

Thank you Jesus for the gift of life🙏🙏

He fought for this gift so that we may enjoy it, that we may enjoy the gifting, talents, blessings, relationships, families, friendships, jobs, careers etecetra that come with life!

Now, if He, Jesus went through the pains of humiliation, torture, rejection for the sake of us – His children to have life in full measure according to His will and graces, then why do we let Him down by giving up on ourselves, giving up on our salvation. Why do we believe lies of the devil?

After all that was done for our salvation, then it is a pity for anyone to want to give up in life and on God’s salvation.

Don’t give up in life. If someone died that you could have it, then it means that person knows the value of the gift you have and He needs us to not only enjoy it but to also take care of it.

Don’t give up, don’t quit, don’t want to die! Jesus loves us. He loves you and me {personally}just the way we are and He has a way out of every situation na hakuna jambo ngumu kwake.

John 14:6 – Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 6:37 – Everyone whom my Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me. Read – I will not reject anyone who comes to me.

There is nothing new under the sun; Ecclesiastes 1:9 – What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

and this too shall come to pass, whatever it is(difficulty, pain, anxieties, anguish, worries, depression, hopelessness, disease…shall come pass. Hold on, just hold to faith and to hope. He’s got your back and He who loves us to bits to the point of death actually

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

and He will see us through anything so that we can have life in abundance{John10:10b}. That we can enjoy this gift called life that has given to each and everyone of us.

Alleluia..Amen.

God is good, all the time. And all the time, God is good.

Christ thy kingdom come.

God loves you  and God bless you.

Vindu Vichangenjanga(vichenganga)

IMG_20190807_104159The skies today. I compare today and how it was yesterday. Today it’s cloudy and cold. Yesterday it was a clear blue sky and quite hot. It reminds me that nothing remains the same.

Today it will be hot and unbearable; tomorrow it will be cool and peaceful🍃🌴😊🙏🏽.

Today things will work out, tomorrow they might not or vice versa

Today you are sick, tomorrow you’re healthy and strong.

Today you meet rejection and tomorrow you meet favour and blessings.

Yaani, nothing remains the same. Seasons come and go.

Vindu vichangenjanga – meaning things, circumstances, situations, people, events do change. Nothing is permanent but God and His love 👏🏼👏🏼

I remember there was a time, I used to struggle financially, so much so mpaka 20/- ya kushona kiatu sikuwa nayo.🙆🏽 Around that time I struggled to get rent and food to eat. There were times I ate bananas and strong tea as lunch, at times I ate donuts and strong tea for supper and the same for breakfast the next day😔. I was employed, yes, but my salo was so little that I couldn’t even settle debts😢. I remember times when I used to cry😢😭 because of my pathetic situation na kuzidisha I could get acidity(build up of acid in the stomach) coz of stress and the doctor insists, “you need to eat well” and I wonder, “na pesa gani” because I didn’t have money for proper food. Waah!! God is good👏👏I tell you because that devil was defeated on the cross and now I walk in victory. Alleluia🙌🙌👏👏😃😃

God is good that I never gave up on Him, I never gave up on hope and I never gave up on faith. At that time, I still used to pray big prayers among and tell Jesus, “I pray for the day I will eat proper food🍛🍲and have money for the next day, “I pray to have money to make my hair and buy new clothes because the ones I had; had started to fade in colour and became monotonous. I kept the hope alive or rather Jesus my strength kept the hope alive for me until I crossed to the other side of the valley!!!
Now, I have money to buy good food, pay rent, buy clothes, pay bills and life continues….

Lives, situations, events and circumstances do change and they do change to our favour and unto the glory of the Father because that is what He wills for us. To have a full life of abundance. Of hope. Of peace and security. Of freedom and victory. If He didn’t want that, then why does He forgive and break power of sin, why did He send His son to suffer and become a curse for our sake and then be glorified to become our salvation and victory. If He didn’t will our freedom and prosperity then it means we call Him a liar when He says that, He is love(1john 4:8).

God is love❤ and everything He does is out of love. He created my life and your life out of love. He also has control over our lives meaning – He has the final say on condition that we surrender our lives to Him.

Vindu vichangenjanga; some vitake time while others vichange pap! And I believe we have all an experience(s) of both cases. Whether it takes time to change or change comes pap! He still remains to be God of miracles, powerful and provider and He knows why He answers prayers the way He does and at the time📅 that He does.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. {1Corinthians 1:25}

Our part, I believe, after we have done what is required of us, is to trust and obey and believe He is working for our good. Remember God is love and He loves people 😃

He does good and works out of love for those who honour Him. {Psalms 103:11}

In the mean time, as we wait for our lives and situations to change for the better – the future that we hope for{Jeremiah 29:11}. I would say, savour the moment! Relish every moment of your season and time. In your anguish, anxiety, pain, difficulty, confusion, sickness e.t.c so is there a  grace (a power, a strength) to see 👀 you through it. Relish the moment or in other words enjoy your season, learn as much as you can from it, get as close as you can this power, might and love called Jesus Christ, son of the living God, allow yourself to grow spiritually, mentally and emotionally sometimes even physically.

Because it will not always be like this. It will not always be tears of sorrow, sadness, gloom, hardship, starvation…nope! It will soon come to an end and when it does we shall glorify God together with you over the victory🙌🙌

However, it will be sad when a season ends and we didn’t learn or grow as much as we ought to have in that season for the new morning(blessings) that have come our way.

God bless you and God keep you. Amina.

Enjoy your evening and may you meet God’s love and joy as you go about your evening and life in general.

God loves people

God loves people more than anything. God loves people more than anything. More than anything He wants them to know that He’ll never let them go because God loves people more than anything….and the song continues.

God does love people more than anything and it’s the truth.
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
John 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

Romans 5:5-7New International Version (NIV)

5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God loves us and it’s a truth that the devil tries to steal away from us especially in difficult and painful times because during those moments it can be hard to focus on the love of God.

The reason could be because of the hurt and pain we get angry with God and we ask the question why? This question sometimes may not get an answer as fast as we expect and so we get more hurt, bitter, angry and worst case scenario we feel abandoned or forgotten by Jesus.

One can even feel like amechoka 😩 and want to give up because it could be the same vikwazo again, the same blocks again!! Sometimes, it feels like we have moved from one pain to another from one challenge to another😩😠😭😭😫

Cases, scenarios, situations are different for every one. However, in all things Jesus is still Lord, He is still speaking and His  love  is still pouring out to His people – me and you included

His love doesn’t stop pouring out when we find ourselves in the valley (psalms 23:4) of the shadow of death(in the valley of pain, confusion, sickness, failure, rejection e.t.c). No, on the contrary, and if you are careful to note, His love is quite strong during those difficult times. It’s in the valleys that we feel HIM more. Okay, the love of Jesus pours out  to all of us and at all times but I feel depending on the challenge or the season we are facing at a particular time, then it pours out the more so that it can be sufficient to take us through the valley and on to the other side called green pastures( freedom, prosperity growth,…….)

How do we survive the valley and walk through it to the other side that Jesus wants us to be at?

1). Keep the hope alive.
Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 40:31

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

2). Be positive
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I have learnt that when I’m down the best thing is  to remain positive that my pain will soon be over and I will rejoice in His victory over my life and have such a big testimony at end. Harreruiyahhh!!👏👏🙌🙌😄😄

3). Pray and don’t stop praying 🙏 and if you feel like umechoka, then stay where there is Jesus power. Listen to Jesus songs, go for mass and be ministered to. Let someone pray for you if possible. The Holy Spirit who is faithful, I believe will meet us at our point of need. When we move away from Jesus power, it becomes easy for the devil to attack and do a lot of damage but with Jesus on our side we will always emerge victorious. For he is THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE OMNIPOTENT, AND THE OMNIPRESENT. He is always in control, he is always a victor and HE always has the last laugh!! Meaning in Him we always have the last laugh😂 alleluia!!!

4). Focus on the love of God – a love that is in us and around us. It’s everywhere. The more we focus and concentrate on this love, the more we gain strength and are able to mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically resist the lies that the devil uses to make is feel abandoned, betrayed or even forgotten by our Father in heaven.

God loves you and God loves me and that’s fact that even nature knows too well…😊 The red sea had to part ways for the loved ones of God to pass lest their enemies attack them and destroy them{Exodus 14:16-30}

The ravens had to bring meat and bread every morning to God’s loved one(Elijah) while in the desert lest He die of hunger!! {1 Kings 17:4-6 }.

God loves you and me and we are His business as clearly stated in Isaiah 49:16 – He loving says, “Jerusalem, I can never forget you! I have written(engraved) your name on the palm of my hands.”

As if to personally say, “I love you Grace Gitau.(—–put your name too——) and you are my priority, you are my business.” It feels good to know this right?

The devil and wicked people in our lives can and do try many tricks, to harm and discourage us, so as to pull us down. But Jesus protects us from this hence proving his love and faithfulness to us through victory in His powerful blood, levelling the mountains{Isaiah 45:2-3} in the way to our victory and if that’s not enough giving us authority through the Holy Spirit to step on the devil and attain much needed freedom and victory in life. And on top of that He sends His angels to fight, pray, interceded, protect even be our guide( Psalms 91:11-12 ). Now, if that is not love ama kujitolea for the sake of love…I don’t know what is.

God loves you and God loves me. I pray may we grasp this fact in Jesus name. May our eyes, heart and mind be opened up to this fact in Jesus name. May this fact give us peace that surpasses human understanding, may it be our reason to be joyful even in tribulations, may it be our continuity in life and our reason to fight and move on always towards a full life of hope, joy, freedom and victory 👏👏🙌🙌Alleluia. Amina.

God is love and He loves you sana, sana tena sana. Have a good night and God bless you.

Thief Part II

Growth is good. If you want to know it’s good – look at a baby grow. They come from sitting, to crawling, to standing, to jumping, to running. They move from baby thoughts to maturity, from the parents handling everything to the child handling everything for themselves.

Children grow mentally, academically, physically and spiritually and it’s a good thing. It’s beautiful and it’s worth giving God the glory.

Everyone wants to see a child grow to become better and if they don’t grow especially towards a positive direction of which is beneficial for them, then we ask ourselves questions. Why?

Another important question to ask is: Does it disturb me when I don’t grow? Does it disturb me when my dream or vision doesn’t mature or materialise? Is it still a baby, has it never moved past sitting or crawling stage? Has it never matured? Did it cross to next level?

Could fear be one of the reasons why I am stagnant? Not growing or not moving?

If fear is the reason then it’s fear of what? Is it fear of the unknown, failure, rejection, hardship, shame, ridicule, the devil🤔. The reasons can be endless and unique depending on the individual.

When we are about to grow/move to the next level/get promoted/move out of the comfort zone chances are we shall meet fear but we have to make a decision to always challenge it and move past or rise above it. This is where courage comes in.

I have noticed how lack of courage has affected my growth curve and also how it has affected other people’s growth curve too. I have also learnt that until we apply courage( stepping out in faith) will we then realise the power and blessing that comes with growth.

Joshua 1:5-9 –  I love these scriptures because they reminds us that application of faith and courage = victory(success) hence growth😀😀. The scriptures also remind us that God is a friend – a powerful friend and confidant who we can trust to always be there, to walk us through our journeys and with Him we are bound to be victorious!!

Growth – positive growth is awesome and something to always be celebrated . However, it has enemies among them is laziness but even the most hard working and smart people will tell you that we need to be courageous, bold and of strong faith to achieve success(growth).

I have since come to learn that courage is not the absence of fear, rather it’s faith in action.

All the best to all of us in this area of stepping out in faith towards our dreams, goals and aspirations.

God bless you.

Thief

There is a thief among us; crafty and cunning.
He is not that strong really,
but has a persistent vision and goal – to steal all the good he can from us until the day we will discover him and when you do, you will have to stop him or else he will continue with the stealing. What it’s name – fear.

Among the things it steals, peace has got to be the most precious.

Peace. When we fear, we automatically will lose peace. Over the weekend we went for a team building event which was at a camping site meaning we slept outside surrounded by trees and bushes. Now the whole place is surrounded by an electric fence, but for me that was not enough for I feared a lion or a leopard would come into our tent and eat us! I know this sounds hilarious but the fear was so strong in me that i could not stop talking about how worried i am that we might be eaten and I just couldn’t sleep. My ‘tent’ mate had to talk to me to relax amidst me moving around the tent making sure there we no snakes under the bed😂. She reminded me something, “Grace we prayed before we started the trip, have faith in God and sleep!” and then finally she requested, “can we switch off the lights?” of which I didn’t want to but I had to agree. It became easy though because of these words, ‘have faith in God.’ I had to pray myself to sleep though and God is good I slept😊

I know of a group, as they were travelling to Mombasa, one of the members could not sleep in the bus. Why? She feared they would have an accident. She lacked peace and so was tormented the whole trip.

Have you ever been tormented by fear? Do you think you should be in that position? Do you think God likes you in that state of torment and lacking in peace? No. He doesn’t. He wants us to be free of all bondages and one of those is a bondage called fear.

I have so far learnt that there is fear brought about by wisdom. That kind though does not torment us, it’s to help us. E.g it is normal to fear the touch of fire because it will burn you(wisdom). But there is a fear that torments, that steals away peace, joy even blessings. Jesus speaks about in 2 timothy 1:7

He reminds us that we do not have a spirit of fear rather the spirit of power, love and self control.

From that scripture, I feel, He reminds or rather wants us to know that fear is a foreigner, and an intruder not of Him but clearly of the rulers the world.

The last three words also go to show that fear is not a small thing to be tolerated but something to be fought and stopped once discovered. It is a power that if not stopped can over power us.

Do we have the power to stop fear? Yes. How?
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

1).Be careful of what you watch. The devil will use any opportunity to invade you. Example: there are people who after watching horror movies they have nightmares and lack sleep why? The devil is using the images from movies to cause nightmares. The devil can magnify things to scare us. To make us fearful. He will use the images we allow to occupy our minds.

2).Be careful what you listen to and even if you have to listen, then sieve what needs to stay and what needs to leave your mind and heart. By the Spirit of wisdom given by God, get to know what to take in and what to throw away. The devil uses words to destroy us too. Some words bring about a fear of people. Test those words with the word of God and you will over come!! Focus on powerful words, life giving words e.g. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

3).Know God. Know and have a relationship with He who says He didn’t give us a Spirit of fear but of power, love and self control. Speak to God about your fears and in turn He will give you His courage. Always invite God when you feel fearful…he will answer. Call unto me and I will answer you(Jeremiah 33:3) This has worked for me and still does. He can reveal why we feel the fearful and even how to stop it. What an awesome God we serve!!!👏👏

4).Make a conscious decision to challenge fear with faith. The battle will not be easy but by the power of the (Spirit God)we are victorious. Not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of God. That is what the bible reminds us.

To have peace and to have an attitude of courage, we will have to decide to want these things, which is for our own good. Just as it is a conscious decision to eat well so as to stay healthy so, should it be a conscious decision to overcome fear with faith. And as we reap the benefits of eating healthy, so do we reap the benefits of faith – among them is peace and courage.

5). Finally, seek deliverance if the torments persist. Call unto the blood of Jesus to destroy this foreigner. Bind and cast it out in the name of Jesus. Seek healing of the inner man😊 from memories and events that give the devil power to attack through fear.

We are victorious through Jesus Christ.

Always remember God is faithful. ❤❤😊🙏

God bless you.

Just the way you are

Hi,

Don’t struggle to be what you are not instead be happy in the peace and joy that comes in being you.😀😀

Have you ever noticed that it is difficult to be someone or something you are not? It is difficult to wear a facade(mask) before people. Why?because it’s a struggle to be fake.

Recently, I had an encounter when I was ministering through *praise* and I was told to stop making noise. Okay, I have heard this statement not once, not twice but this time round it got to me and I stopped. However, it became such a struggle to do ministry again with confidence because fear came in, self rejection and inferiority.

But I thank the Spirit for freedom through this inspiration – don’t struggle to be what you are not rather be free in being yourself!! And so with new strength, I prayed and asked the Spirit to bless me with grace, wisdom and to restore my confidence so as to minister *His love, care and presence* *as directed by* *Him.* The next time I ministered, I did as me, as per the graces, strengths and gifts given to me. And He was faithful; He moved, He flowed, He blessed and He was with me every step of the way and I am grateful, 😀very grateful actually. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

God is good. God is great. God is powerful. God is unique. God is creative. Consequently, so are we. We are great, we are powerful, we are unique and creative. In our uniqueness the Spirit will move. He doesn’t like fake, he doesn’t even move in fake(acts 19:13-16). He wants us to know our strengths and consequently move and work powerfully through our uniqueness.

In the Bible, you will notice He moved powerfully when people began to accept themselves, their gifts, talents and strengths.
👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Joshua was told to not be afraid, I am with you just like I was with Moses. God didn’t say, do it like Moses rather He said, “just like I was with Moses, I will be with you.”

Mordecai advised Queen Esther that she was in a good position to save the Jews. They didn’t need a mighty warrior at that point they needed someone who was highly favoured before the king and someone who understood and served the God of the Jews to save them and who better than Esther; a woman – yes, not a mighty warrior – yes but rather someone who fitted the purpose for that time.

Jesus created us, knows and loves ❤ us all. He knows how unique we are and he is looking to work in us through our uniqueness. Why? He needs that genius in you, that creativity, that strength in you to bring out a particular purpose unto His glory.

Ben Carson, one of the greatest surgeons we have in the world, has been used by the God to restore good health to many tumour cases. But when you read his books, he writes of how he struggled to accept himself, the fact that he had poor vision, poor grades in school, their father abandoned them, they then became so poor that they had to depend on government handouts – they generally struggled in life.

Bitterness and anger got the best of him that he became a hopeless and violent character. God is good though, that through acceptance of self, his strengths and weakness, he was able to allow God to work through him. Take a look at Him now – a celebrated surgeon world over👏🏼👏🏼

I don’t know what strength is in you, maybe it’s enough to save your family, society, a friend, child or spouse. Your strength may allow you to be a best dad or mum, teacher, leader, professional….the list is endless. We don’t know, and we may never really know what our strengths can do until we allow the Spirit to work through them unto His glory. Alleluia. Amen.

Thank you Jesus. 🙏🏽

*”As I was with Moses, so I* *will be with you; I will never* *leave you nor forsake you.”* {Joshua 1:5}

So, relax and cheer up, He’s got your back.

*#come Holy Spirit*
*#we love you*
*#you are most welcome

Thank you and God bless you.

Dream Again

Jane Muthoni, a kenyan gospel artist has a song titled, Kiroto(dream). In the chorus she says, “even if my dream has not come to pass, the Lord, God of Joseph is alive and I will dream again!”

Let’s look at the life of Joseph. Genesis chapter 37 – Joseph had a dream that his sheaf of wheat got up and stood straight and that his brothers’ sheaves of wheat formed a circled around his and bowed down to it. It is written that his brothers got angry, jealous and hated him even more – Genesis 42:8. He had another dream in which he saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars and the moon bow down before him. He told his father who scolded him and brushed him off. Fast forward to Genesis chapter 42:5-6, we see the dreams come to pass when Joseph is made governed over all of Egypt – second in command to Pharaoh{Genesis 41:40-44}.

Joseph had a dream, a powerful dream which was confusing to him at the time because of his young age. So, he decided to share with those he thought would be quick to help him understand and hopefully encourage him. However, he meet hostility and rejection and I can only imagine how it hurt  😢 Joseph to be meet with indifference from the people he expected to show him love, support or even champion him. It must have been painful and confusing, one can just feel like giving up – I know because I have been there.

I have been in a situation where the people I looked up to as mentors later on became hostile. To me, they became people I would rather run away from because their words and actions had become poison to my heart and mind. It was painful and confusing at the same time. It was so bad that I remember wanting to give up many things. I remember, I felt like running away to a place of refuge where there was no hate, no indifference and no biasness. I wanted a place of refuge and peace. God is good that I never gave up on my dream(leadership) at the time. I stayed on, in that fire of hate and rejection. I persevered and God was with me.😀

I survived unfair judgement and maliciousness and I managed to live out a dream – to the dismay of those who wanted me to give up and leave. When I look back at everything, I wonder what could have made people I loved so much, respected, admired and even aspired to be like them treat me with coldness, like an outsider, a foreigner ready to be destroyed!

Two things come to mind:-

  • Jealousy – this is a very bad thing. It can even kill if given power. Meaning if the person who is jealous allows, the feeling of jealousy to have power then it can kill friendships, destroy peace among people even family, breed hate and discord and eventually death and destruction(Abel and Cain).
  • The devil roams around ready to destroy people{1 Peter 5:8} and he knows that God will direct us on how to live out our destinies. God does this in many ways among them is through dreams. He will speak to us through dreams, visions, scriptures and he will even open up gifts and talents that will help us to live out our destinies but unfortunately. The devil is mad at us, hates us and is jealous of us because we are loved by the Father and he is not. We have a chance to eternal life to rejoice with the Father forever in His loving arms and he will not. Further, we are here on earth to do the will of God, spreading His love and care to all and the devil does not want the will of God to be done in any way form or manner so he will attack the dreamer so that dream does not come to pass.

In the story of Joseph, the devil got a chance through the brothers and wanted to kill the dreamer but God being faithful he protected the dreamer from death for the sake of the dream to come to pass!

We, just like Joseph, have dreams, goals and ambitions. Some dreams/goals which eventually become a hearts desire come to us very early(when we are still young, sometimes physically young or spiritually young either way the dream has come and desire has been formed in the heart. At this point being naive; the devil and jealous people will take advantage to destroy. That is why it is important to be careful who we speak to about our hearts desire for an evil person may want to kill it and the devil of course is always roaming around to bring death and destruction because he knows, if your heart’s desire comes to pass then it will go to give God glory and continue in the spread of the kingdom of God of which he does not like.

So what do we that our dreams/hearts desire don’t die?

  1. Know who you are – know your worth and understand your value. Understand that you are valuable and God did not put that heart’s desire in you to destroy you,  rather it is to bless you and glorify Himself.  So, love and embrace who you are so that the devil doesn’t steal your desire through rejection or self rejection. Example, if you have a dream of getting married, forget the heart breaks you have experienced, forget the negative that people say against you and pursue your heart’s desire. Pray and plan for a marriage and family life and our God of dreams and destinies will see you through in Jesus name.
  2. Live wise. Let the hurt and the pain we have endured because of jealous people teach us to be careful with whom we share our dreams with. Some people, even those we least expect it may want to destroy us so that the dream/heart’s desire does not come to pass.
  3. Invite God into your life. Let your life and all about it be rooted in Christ. He is the one who will make us stand when evil rises against us. When friends become jealous, He will shield us from their evil, hold on to our destinies, fight for us and make sure we live them out no matter what. We may be shaken but we will not fall and if we do fall we are sure to rise again even stronger in Jesus name and unto God’s glory. Alleluia!!!
  4. Be positive always. To dream again after you have been treated cruelly to the point of being crushed is not easy. So we pray to always be positive about us and our dreams. Know that nothing evil lasts forever, only God has the ability to last forever – meaning goodness will cancel out evil in our live and we will one day rise again. We will dream again, we will find new friends, and we shall find favour both in eyes of God and man.

So, I dare you to dream again, believe in your self again, believe you are a leader and given a chance to lead you shall do it well directed by God’s wisdom. It doesn’t matter if previously we have met opposition or indifference – it doesn’t matter. Dream again and if another chance comes; go for it. If it is marriage, prepare yourself for it. Pray and plan for it. God will meet you in your positivity and will bless you.

Dreamers, yes we are, and it is not abnormal. Continue to dream, continue to push, continue to hope and he who searches the hearts of men will help us overcome and achieve our hearts desire unto His glory. Alleluia. Amen
